I have been waiting for this story and wasn’t disappointed. Hockey romance, especially Rainbow love stories, are my jam and this hits so my of my favorite storylines.A little age difference, hockey ( duh), coming out and dealing with all that means, best friend’s brother, and did I mention hockey? And more hockey players? In fact an entire new team of them?But first let’s talk Xander and Mason. A great couple with an amazing amount of history and chemistry between them. Plus a bridge of Eli, another Rebel player who’s Xander’s best friend and Mason’s older protective brother. Add in a circle of rainbow teammates and hints of future storylines for a swift happy read.My quibble was there are spots in the narrative where I anticipated some dramatic action or scenes because the authors seemed to be laying the foundation for some conflict to occur.While it didn’t happen, I have to wonder if it’s not something we will see in a story later on as so much was made of this particular instance and the stress that surrounded it. No spoilers here but if you read the book you’ll surely understand what I mean.At any rate, this is definitely a HFN with so much room for couple growth to come. Again I can’t wait to read where their story and their various teammates go. Game On!
